Kobe Milk is located right at the entrance to Chinatown (Nankinmachi) in Kobe. The Nankinmachi entrance of the store seems to be more focused on puddings and take-out, while the back of the store (entry on the other side of the block in a little alley) focuses more on ice-cream, and has a small dine-in space.
I loved the attention to detail at this store - the chocolate dipped waffle cone covered in pistachio bits was a nice touch, as was the strawberry plonked on top! Don't forget to take a few shots for Instagram before digging in!
Many people are probably aware that walking while standing/eating is frowned down upon in Japan. While this is mostly true, there are certain areas and times of year where this rule doesn't really apply - think festivals etc. It's quite hard to find seating around Chinatown, especially if you're eating from a food stall, so it's perfectly fine to stand and eat outside. If you're in need of a garbage can, you can return the garbage to the store you purchased the item from without a problem.
If you're looking for other sweet treats in Kobe I recommend The City Donuts and Coffee, and the wonderful Isuzu Bakery.

Wow this looks delicious! Good to know the ice cream can be found in the back - that is directly where I would be headed.
